Grapevine’s Parade of Lights celebrates the holiday season

Star-Telegram

The annual Parade of Lights in Historic Downtown Grapevine, billed as the largest lighted Christmas parade in North Texas, twinkled and sparkled down Main Street on Dec. 3.

This year’s parade, celebrating the theme “Toyland,” featured about 120 lighted floats, marching bands and other holiday extravaganza.

As always, Santa Claus had the kids cheering as he came by on the last float.

The parade is a highlight of the holiday season in Grapevine, which bills itself as the Christmas Capital of Texas.

Grapevine celebrates Christmas with more 1,400 events in 40-plus days.
