Colleyville’s Pumpkin Mash Dash features fun, fundraising
Overripe pumpkins retired in style for creative composting at the Pumpkin Mash Dash.
Members of the nonprofit Keep Colleyville Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful, held the fundraiser — an inaugural walk/run along with a lighted bicycle parade for all ages.
The Nov. 7 event was held at Pleasant Run Soccer Complex and Park at 6501 Pleasant Run Road and The Cottonbelt Trail.
Keep Colleyville Beautiful runs the Adopt-A-Street and Adopt-A-Park programs for the city. It also assists the city in the annual Clean Sweep program.
It maintains a website, KeepColleyvilleBeautiful.com, which has information regarding recycling and reducing solid waste. Being an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful, the organization also has educational opportunities and grants available on a regular basis for community youth.
