Fire raced through a home Monday morning causing heavy damage, but no injuries, a fire official said.
Firefighters from seven departments battled the fire for almost 30 minutes before it was under control.
The fire was reported shortly after 4 a.m. in the 400 block of Salem Drive.
“Crews arrived to a fully involved structure fire,” Assistant Fire Chief David Palla said in a news release Monday. “The house was unoccupied at the time.”
Palla said the residents were on vacation at the time.
Cause of the fire was under investigation, officials said.
Hurst firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Fort Worth, Grapevine and Haltom City.
