Military veterans were honored by a Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 7 in Historic Downtown Grapevine.
The event provides veteran groups the opportunity to display their patriotism, and many of the city’s civic and service groups to show their support.
This year’s parade highlighted the 50th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam War.
“The Grapevine Veterans Day Parade Committee organized an event that was fun for all ages and honored those who have served our country so valiantly,” said Army Lt. Col. Brian Michel, parade committee member.

Also taking place that day was the Veterans Fair, hosted by Congressman Kenny Marchant.
The event at Liberty Park featured veteran benefits information, veteran organizations, live music, food, activities and a military vehicle show.
Organizers wanted to draw attention to the true meaning of Veterans Day, as well as inform the community about the many organizations available to help all veterans in need.
