Cowboys’ DeMarco Murray brightens holidays for local youth

Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray was in Grapevine Sunday to help make the season more special for 50 children.

DeMarco teamed up with Academy Sports + Outdoors and Big Brothers Big Sisters to give 50 bikes to deserving children during the Holiday Handoff event.

The event was hosted by Murray’s charity, the DeMarco Murray Foundation, which provides educational support, opportunities and resources for local youth.

Fifty children were preselected through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Founded in 2013, the DeMarco Murray Foundation seeks to better the lives of area youth by providing educational support, opportunities and resources whenever possible.
