On Jan. 2, the city of Grapevine will be picking up live Christmas trees to be mulched for recycling purposes.
All accepted trees must be unflocked with no lights, ornaments or tinsel.
The city will also pick-up clean brush (no trash mixed in). Everything needs to be curbside by 7 a.m.
On its website, the city also provides other recycling suggestions.

• Wrapping paper: Use reusable gift bags or reuse gift wrapping when possible. Tearable/non-mylar wrapping paper may be recycled.
• Packing materials: Use shredded paper when possible. Reuse Styrofoam or recycle clean, white Styrofoam at any city recycling event or it may be taken to Foam Fabricators at 900 Keller Pkwy, Ste. 101 in Keller. For information call 817- 379-6520. No peanut packing.
• Christmas lights: Old or damaged Christmas lights may be recycled at the Electronics Recycling Container in the Animal Shelter parking lot at 502 Shady Brook Drive in Grapevine.
• Cardboard: Cardboard boxes may be broken down and placed out for curbside recycling. Large amounts of cardboard may be brought to the Single Stream Recycling Container also located in the Animal Shelter parking lot.
