Two accused of breaking into Grapevine pharmacy, one gets away

Two men are accused of breaking into a Grapevine pharmacy, and one got away on foot, police said Tuesday.

Grapevine officers arrived at ReCept Pharmacy at 1469 State Highway 114 about 9:30 p.m. Monday, where they found two men trying to exit the building through an open window. Police arrested one man, Demontray Dewayne Ross, 28, but the other drove away in a Chevrolet Impala.

The man then wrecked the car at a nearby Best Buy before fleeing on foot, Grapevine Sgt. Robert Eberling said. Police searched for the man with a K-9 police dog, but eventually called off the search. Eberling said the man is not believed to be armed and dangerous.

Neither suspect was able to steal anything from the pharmacy, Eberling said. He said Ross is expected to be charged with burglary of a building.
