Massage therapist arrested in Southlake charged with indecent assault

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has issued an emergency license suspension order against Jamal Laronne Douglas of Carrollton.

According to Tarrant County Court records, Douglas was arrested by Southlake police last year. A trial date has yet to be set in the criminal court. It’s not clear if the alleged assaults occurred in Southlake.

Douglas is charged with 10 counts of indecent assault that allegedly took place while he was licensed to give massage therapy services.

His license will stay suspended until the criminal case is resolved; TDLR is ordered by the court to reinstate it; or TDLR authorizes lifting the suspension.

This suspension is one of many recent TDLR massage parlor and massage therapist license suspensions.
