Boy dies after being pulled from Haltom City pool

A 3-year-old who was found unresponsive this week in a pool at a home in Haltom City died Friday, authorities said.

Sebastian Solorio-Carranza of Haltom City was pronounced dead at 6:55 p.m. at Cook Children’s Medical Center, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office reported.

Emergency crews were called just before 9 p.m. Wednesday to the 3000 block of Katrine Street, where Sebastian had climbed into an above-ground swimming pool, said Cpl. Ray Beshirs, a Haltom City police spokesman. Medical personnel administered CPR and took the boy to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are investigating, Beshirs said, but it does not appear any criminal charges will be filed. — Sarah Bahari
