Fiery crash at North Texas grocery store leaves one person dead Sunday, police say

One person died after car crashed into a Kroger grocery store early Sunday, Jan. 19 in Euless, police said.

Around 2:20 a.m., Euless police responded to the Kroger located in the 1000 block of North Main Street after receiving reports that a vehicle had struck the building and caught fire.

The Euless Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Officers discovered that one person in the vehicle was dead, police said.

Investigators determined the vehicle was eastbound on East Harwood Road at a high rate of speed, struck a curb, left the roadway, and crashed into the side of the building before catching fire.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased after the next of kin is notified.

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
