One person was injured and 10 boats were damaged in a fire at Grapevine Lake Sunday afternoon, according to a statement from city officials.

The Grapevine Fire Department responded to the call at the Silver Lake Marina around 1:30 p.m., officials said.

The fire was started by a fuel explosion or possible electrical short, and fire crews encountered challenges with water supply, according to the statement.

Video from CBS Texas shows billowing clouds of black smoke that could be seen from far away.

Crews from eight area fire departments, including from the DFW Airport Fire Department, assisted with efforts to put out the large fire, which has been extinguished, officials said.

One person was injured in the blaze, but their condition is unknown at this time, officials said in the statement.
