Boy, 13, says man tried to abduct him in North Richland Hills
Police are looking for a man in his 40s or 50s who may have tried to abduct a 13-year-old riding his bicycle in a neighborhood Tuesday.
The teenager was near Amundsen Road and Main Street at about 9 p.m. when he heard a pickup speed up and them slam on its brakes behind him in the roadway, police said in a news release.
The teen told police that the driver got out and grabbed him by his shoulders but that he was able to pull free. The teen then got back on his bicycle and rode home, police said.
Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the man, described as Hispanic and 5-foot-8 with short black hair, a goatee and average build.
He was wearing a stained white T-shirt, jeans and brown work boots, police said.
The vehicle is described as a 2000s-model dark green Toyota Tundra two-door extended-cab truck with a black utility rack along the bed. — Monica S. Nagy
