Toddler dies after being struck by a vehicle in North Richland Hills, authorities say
A person driving a vehicle accidentally struck and killed a 2-year-old boy on Monday in North Richland Hills, police said.
Gideon Randall was taken in critical condition to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth and was pronounced dead about 40 minutes after he was struck, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
North Richland Hills police did not release the type of vehicle or whether an adult was with the boy when he was hit.
The toddler was struck about 5 p.m., authorities said.
The driver stayed at the scene, and police concluded that speed was not a factor. Officers spoke with witnesses to gather details.
