A small subdivision of $3 million homes could be taking shape in Southlake.

On Tuesday, the City Council approved a request on first reading to change zoning on approximately 4.75 acres from agricultural to single family use for the Rainey Court development. The vote for final approval is scheduled for May 17.

The enclave of homes in the $3 million range will be on one-acre lots on the southwest corner of North White Chapel Boulevard and West Bob Jones Road near Bob Jones Park.

The builder, Hawkins Welwood Homes, has built communities throughout Dallas and Southlake.

According to documents from the city, Rainey Court will include a cul de sac and sidewalks.

There are some trees on the land, and there is access to water and sewer lines.
