For almost four decades the news of the arrival of the Main Street Fest in Grapevine has been sweet music to their ears.

Well, now there’s a little more music — actually, a lot more as the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau and Harvest Hall will present Grapevine Main LIVE!, a family-friendly music series designed to hit all the right notes with a variety of genres.

It all begins Friday, April 22, when Desperado, an Eagles tribute band, will be playing in Peace Plaza, directly behind Harvest Hall at 815 S. Main St.

“We’re very excited about our inaugural spring music series,” Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director Paul W. McCallum said. “Grapevine Main LIVE! gives families a great outdoor space to come together.”

Guests can enjoy food from six chef-inspired global kitchens, as well as specialty crafted cocktails and performances by some of the most popular local artists and bands in the Metroplex. Other performances include:

April 29 from 7-9 p.m. – Mixtape, top hits/cover band

May 6 from 7-8:30 p.m. – Jon Stork, Texas country

May 13 from 7-8:30 p.m. – Hayden McBride, Texas country

Entry to each event is free and open to the public, but reserve seats are also available for $25 plus a small administration fee of slightly more than $3. Guests can enjoy 90 minutes of complimentary parking and then $1 per hour in the Grapevine Main Garage, located at 255 E. Dallas Rd.

For reserve seating, go to eventbrite.com and search for “Grapevine Main Live!”

The four-week series serve as a prelude to Grapevine’s 38th Annual Main Street Fest on May 20-22, which will also feature live music and artists on the Plaza, a Craft Brew Experience and more. Go to grapevinetexasusa.com/main-street-fest/ for more information.

Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate said this is another example of how the city prides itself on celebrating arts and culture in Grapevine’s Historic District.

“There’s so much to take in within Grapevine any day of the week, from catching a classic film at the Palace Theatre to enjoying fine selections at our award-winning winery tasting rooms, cafes and bistros,” he said.
