North Texas students experience medical emergencies related to Delta 8 gummies, THC vapes

Keller police are investigating local vape and CBD shops after two Keller High School students experienced medical emergencies related to Delta 8 gummies and THC vape pens last month.

Out of eight of the shops investigated, clerks at two of the shops were issued citations for selling without checking ID, according to a Keller Police Department news release.

State police also found evidence of illegal products being sold by one of the two shops, according to the release.

Symptoms related to the medical emergencies included extreme fatigue, blood pressure concern and vomiting.

Texans must be 21 or older to buy e-cigarettes, tobacco and Delta 8 products, with few exceptions.

“Please take the time to talk to the young adults in your life about these substances and their effects,” the police news release said

Keller police will continue to monitor local businesses for illegal products and activity, according to the release.
