Suspects arrested after string of area robberies

Two men suspected in several aggravated robberies and burglaries around Tarrant County were arrested last week by Southlake and Haltom City detectives, Southlake Department of Public Safety officials said.

Police said officers began working on the case about 3 p.m. May 31, when a resident in the 2100 block of Cheyenne Park Lane told them two men pulled up next to him, one of them pointed a handgun at him and took his cellphone.

The men were also suspected of burglarizing a home in the 1000 block of Carroll Meadows Court.

Officials said while working on the cases, Southlake investigators learned of similar robberies in Arlington, Colleyville, Euless and Haltom City. Early the next morning they found the suspects, Darian Riley and Cade Porter, in Hurst. Southlake and Haltom City detectives arrested them, and additional warrants are expected.
