Rain caused fatal Hurst wreck
A man and two women were killed Saturday morning in a rain-related accident on Loop 820, police said.
The driver lost control of his Toyota Tacoma, which hit a bridge railing, flipped over the rail and landed on a concrete embankment, police said Sunday.
The names of the victims had not been released by authorities Sunday.
Patrol officers and firefighters responded to the accident about 11:40 a.m. Saturday at Loop 820 and Texas 121.
The four-door truck was southbound on Loop 820 when the accident happened.
Patrol officers found the vehicle upside down. The driver, a man and his two female passengers had their seat belts on, police said Sunday. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Authorities closed down the highway for more than three hours to investigate.
