Officials from several north Texas departments continued Sunday afternoon searching Grapevine Lake for a swimmer who went missing Saturday afternoon.

People who were enjoying the day with the swimmer told officers that their friend jumped from a pontoon boat and never resurfaced, said John Sherwood, Grapevine Fire Department assistant chief.

"He was down about 10 minutes before 911 was called," Sherwood said.

The pontoon boat was on the north side of the lake when the swimmer jumped in the lake, and members of the Grapevine dive team were concentrating their search in that area, Sherwood said.

Officials with the Flower Mound Fire Department, Texas Game Wardens and the Grapevine Fire Department assisted with the search, Sherwood said.
