Firefighters host open house

Residents were hands-on at the Colleyville Fire Department’s Open House last week.

The department invited the public to learn more about its staff and work.

Attendees were able to put on firefighter gear and operate a fire hose among other activities. Firefighters also demostrated the “jaws of life,” used to help extract trapped crash victims from their vehicles.
