EPIC Earth Day Experience in Grapevine set for April 18
Keep Grapevine Beautiful will host its annual EPIC Earth Day Experience in a new location.
The event is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. April 18 at the Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park at 411 Ball Street.
The day will feature vendor booths featuring earth-friendly goods and services, an alternative transportation demonstration with EV models and bicycles, a Recycle Rally sponsored by Verizon, a Kids’ Zone with a bounce house, face painters and crafts.
The event will offer the opportunity to play, recycle, relax and network with local businesses and community organizations.
Guests are invited to participate in the following:
▪ Recycle Rally: Sponsored by Verizon (view items being accepted at KGVB.org). Guests can bring e-waste such as computers, mobile phones, laptops and other items from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for proper recycling.
▪ Vendor Expo: Where attendees learn how local businesses are adopting EPIC practices 365 days a year.
▪ Kid’s Zone: A fun and creative experience to learn about creating and living in an EPIC community. KGVB Pavilion Plaza: Learn more about the city adheres to the slogan “Keep Grapevine Beautiful.”
▪ Alternative Transportation Demonstration: View electric vehicles and learn more about sustainable transportation.
The primary focus of the EPIC Earth Day experience is to engage the community to reduce water and energy usage; preserve and reclaim natural space; influence purchasing choices based on environmental impact; and cultivate a sustainable earth and air quality
