Colleyville, Southlake Letters to the editor
A better place
I believe selfless service is critical to improving our community. We need to give more to our
community than we get back. Otherwise, we are just status quo. Laura Hill, Southlake Mayoral Candidate,
has done just that – given above and beyond to Southlake. Where there is a need, Laura steps up. Seeing the
risk to kids from underage drinking, drugs, and internet perils, Laura founded an organization called SPARK,
Students and Parents Against Risk to our Kids. When she saw the need for more opportunities for kids to volunteer
to serve in the community, she co-founded a service organization called SASO, Scholars and Athletes Serving Others.
Laura doesn’t settle for status quo. She seeks to make this world a better place, that’s why I support Laura Hill
for Southlake Mayor.

Support for Hill
I am writing to support Laura Hill for the Mayor of Southlake. She is an
exceptional candidate. Laura is determined to create and promote positive
change for the city. She spends tireless hours volunteering to make our city
and community the positive place that it is. Please vote for Laura Hill as
our next Southlake Mayor.

A vote for Hill
I am writing this letter to endorse Laura Hill as Mayor for Southlake.
Laura has an impeccable reputation. She is known for taking any problem
brought to her attention and immediately searching for a solution.
Laura Hill runs a very successful business, so she is the perfect person to
lead Southlake as Mayor. She is intelligent, extremely hard working and
easy to get along with, all qualities crucial for the Mayor to possess.
Laura cares deeply about youth, creating SASO and SPARK. She cares deeply
about the community. Her achievements and accomplishments for Southlake
speak for themselves. Laura is running for office because she will make a
positive difference for our city. She was named Citizen of the Year by the
Southlake Chamber of Commerce in 2007. Let's vote her in as Mayor of
Southlake for 2015. Please vote Laura Hill Mayor of Southlake.

Hill for Mayor
I have had the privilege of working with Laura Hill from the inception of the SPARK
(Students and Parents Against Risks to Kids) task force 8 years ago. From Laura's initiative,
this task force was created as a partnership of the City and Carroll ISD, as a vehicle to provide
programs and resources to our community on child related dangers. We have tackled such topics as
Internet Safety, Drugs, Eating Disorders, STDs, Grief Counseling, Depression and Suicide. Laura has
been an advocate for our children and their parents. She is always available and ensures the right
resources are provided to or connected with the families in need. From the start, Laura Hill has been
the only City Council member involved with SPARK. Our city deserves an engaged and involved leader who
actively cares about and helps keep our kids safe! Our city deserves Laura Hill for Mayor!

For the record
Recent claims have led me to set the record straight about Southlake’s SRO program. I served on
the Mayor’s Safety Task force, a joint effort between the city and CISD. We worked for months to
bring SRO’s to all Southlake Schools in the most fiscally responsible manner possible. The only
mayoral candidate that served on that task force was Laura Hill. Our Task Force included members
from city council, school board, CISD administration, Homeland Security and local faith-based leaders.
I thank all of the council members who ultimately unanimously approved our work, but Laura Hill was
the only Mayoral candidate that served on that task force. Laura Hill is the only business woman in
this race and is recognized as a nationwide industry leader in her field. She is a business leader
and a community leader (also founded SASO & SPARK). Please vote for Laura Hill for Southlake Mayor.

Voting for Hill
Laura Hill has my support for Mayor of Southlake. She is a successful businesswoman and has
established a reputation for getting things done. Laura will be a problem solver and a Mayor who
will reach out to the citizens as part of the decision making process. As Southlake faces build-out
it is more important than ever that we have a Mayor, like Laura, with the executive experience to
negotiate the best deals and attract the top Corporations to our 114 corridor. Equally significant
if Laura is elected she will move immediately to decrease Southlake's population build-out by a
minimum of 5 percent. My family and I will be voting for Laura Hill.

Vote for Zeitlin
May 9, Colleyville residents will have the opportunity to have their voices heard by voting and selecting people for city council whose values and concerns mirror theirs.
I support Liz Zeitlin whose core values are similar to mine. I met Liz when I had read about her involvement with the Glade Road Project. I am a landscaper and appreciate the natural beauty Colleyville has to offer, and removing 50 year old trees on Glade Road would be a detriment to our city’s scenery! Many people in the community appreciate the drive along Glade Road because the majestic trees create a beautiful arbor. Getting to know Liz personally gave me the opportunity to appreciate her vision for Colleyville’s long-term growth.
Colleyville residents need her on City Council to make the best decisions for their property rights, and expand new economic development in a conservative manner.
