Female suspect used large knife in Haltom City armed robbery
A photo was released showing a female suspect pointing what appears to be a butcher's knife across the counter at a store clerk in Haltom City around midday on Saturday.
The Haltom City Police Department released the photo of the female suspect on Monday evening, where she could be seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt with red, white and blue lines across the chest area. The woman also had a black beanie on her head during the armed robbery.
Police said the incident occurred on Nov. 11, at approximately 12:06 p.m., when Haltom City officers were dispatched to a robbery at the PDQ gas station located at 4600 Denton Highway. When officers arrived they were told by the store clerk that a white female had robbed the store at knife-point.
The female was described as being in her 30's, wearing a hooded jacket and shorts.
The female suspect left the business on foot with an undisclosed about of money, according to police. K9 officers were called to the scene and a K9 tracked the female's scent to a residence in the 5600 block of Starlight Drive in Haltom City.
Officers created a perimeter around the home and the Haltom City SWAT team responded to the scene.
The SWAT team employed a loud speaker to call everyone outside the home. Upon the residents exiting the house, the SWAT team made entry to search for other occupants. After the search was completed no arrests were maded and the case was turned over to Haltom City detectives.
Currently, police are still searching for the woman and are asking anyone with information to contact the Haltom City Police Department at 817-222-7000.
