Police have arrested a 22-year-old man accused of driving over a motorcyclist and then fleeing the scene in Bedford last month.

Kannon Bryce Taylor faces a third-degree-felony charge of accident involving injury or death, according to a Bedford police news release.

The victim suffered serious injuries, police said.

Witnesses told police that Taylor’s car dragged the motorcyclist and his motorcycle several feet at about 4:45 p.m. Oct. 28.

The motorcyclist was northbound on the service road after exiting at Harwood Road when his motorcycle was hit from behind by a black Hyundai car, police said.

After impact, the Hyundai drove over the victim and the motorcycle, dragging him a short distance before the man was able to get free, police said. Witnesses told police the motorist never stopped.

The motorcyclist was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Police identified Taylor as the Hyundai driver through a tip, the news release said. Officers arrested him on Friday and he was released from jail Saturday on a $2,500 bond.
