Fabulous Fillies corrals national champion title

The Fabulous Fillies Dance Team from Grapevine High School was named national champions at the MA Dance Nationals Competition held in Fort Worth last month at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

The Fabulous Fillies received the following awards: 2015 National Champion XL Team, National Team Winners Circle (ninth overall), 1st Place XL Contemporary, 1st Place XL Lyrical, 1st Place XL Pom and 2nd Place XL Military.

In the 2015 National Champion XL Division Officers category, the Fillies took: Officer Winners Circle (fifth Overall), 1st Place Lyrical, 1st Place Contemporary and 1st Place Open.

“It is an honor to be recognized as national champions this year,” said KayLynn Renfro, Fabulous Fillies director. “Our success is a result of many hours of hard work in the dance gym and our teams’ overall dedication to delivering their best performance. We are pleased to bring home these honors to share with Grapevine High School.”
