Motorcyclist killed on highway in Haltom City crash
A motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon after his motocycle collided with a car at an intersection, police said.
The name of the 57-year-old motorcyclist had not been released pending notification of relatives.
Officers responded to a major accident call shortly after 2 p.m. Monday in the 5200 block of Denton Highway.
A 50-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Camry westbound on a Loop 820 service road through an intersection, police said.
The motorcyclist who was on a Harley Davidson was traveling southbound on Denton Highway through the intersection when his vehicle collided with the Camry, police said.
The motorcyclist who was not wearing a helmet was thrown from his vehicle and landed on the highway, police said.
A witness told police the motorcyclist ran a red traffic light in the intersection and crashed into the Camry.
