Class: Senior

Position: First base/pitcher

His story: Satterwhite has been on the diamond ever since he was four years old and hasn't put the ball down since. “Baseball is who I am,” he said. Satterwhite leads the team with a .361 batting average (13 for 36) with 13 RBI, five doubles and one home run, all of which are team-highs. He's also pitched 21 2/3 innings with 14 strikeouts in five appearances. “I love every aspect of the game, I'm just fortunate enough that the game has stuck with me.” The Raiders are looking to make their fifth straight postseason and 15th in head coach Paul Gibson's 22 years with Bell. Having lived with one of his best friends for over a year now, he thanks Mike and Angie Herd every day for helping him become the person and player he is today. “They have had the biggest impact of my life.” He chooses playing first base over pitching because he loves being apart of every game rather than sitting any out. He hasn't signed to play at the collegiate level yet, but is looking at a few schools, including North Central Texas College.

Fun fact: If he isn't playing baseball, Satterwhite loves to fish. Once at a baseball tournament, some teammates went fishing and he caught a 38-inch black drum.

He said: “It has been an honor to play for a coach like coach Gibson. He's a great guy and person to be around. He has a very competitive attitude and it grows throughout the organization. I have really enjoyed my experience playing for him.”
