Easter events in the Northeast Tarrant area
Cities and organizations prepare to celebrate the Easter holiday.
Here is a collection of the events happening in Colleyville, Grapevine and Southlake.
COLLEYVILLE
Colleyville’s annual Bunny Brunch hops into the Colleyville Center on March 28 from 10 a.m. to noon. Festivities include brunch from 10-11:30 a.m., Easter egg hunts for various age groups and photo shoots with the bunny.
The Colleyville Heritage Lions Club brings its fifth annual Rabbit Hunt from noon to 4 p.m. on April 4 to Delaney Vineyards, 2000 Champagne Blvd. The free event includes an egg hunt, music, petting zoo, and more. There will be concessions available as well.
GRAPEVINE
Bring the family to the farm for the 40th Annual Easter Egg Hunt set for 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 28 at historic Nash Farm presented by the Grapevine Parks and Recreation department. This free event will feature egg-hunting, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, tractor-drawn wagon rides and more. Hunt times are divided by age groups to assure everyone gets their fair share: ages 7 to 9 years, 10 a.m.; ages 0 to 2 years, 10:30 a.m.; ages 5 to 6 years, 11 a.m.; ages 3 to 4 years, 11:30 a.m.; ages 10 years and older, noon.
Mr. Bunny will be hiding thousands of eggs. Be sure to look for those special prize eggs that will be hidden in each hunt that include cash and other fun prizes. If the hunt is canceled due to inclement weather, the hunt will be rescheduled for April 4. Nash farm is located at 626 Ball St.
SOUTHLAKE
The City of Southlake and Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny return for Easter in Park from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at North Park, 200 East Dove Road. In addition to several egg hunts separated by age groups there will be other activities including photo opportunities, crafts, inflatable items and more. The event is free and open to all. At 10 a.m. the hunt for children 2 and under begins, children 3-4 years old will hunt at 10:30, 5-6 at 11 a.m., 7-8 a 11:30 a.m. and ages 9 and up will hunt at noon.
