Falling debris from a truck injured one person on Texas 121 on Thursday afternoon and damaged three cars, police said.

The motorist was injured when the debris hit a windshield.

Police closed at least one lane of traffic on southbound Texas 121 between Bass Pro Drive and Texas 114 for about 30 minutes.

The accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. as a truck pulling a trailer was traveling southbound on Texas 121.

At some point, debris flew off and hit the windshield of the first car, injuring one person, police spokeswoman Amanda McNew said in a telephone interview.

Police had not released information as to what debris fell off.

The debris bounced off the first car and hit a second vehicle, tearing off the hood, police said.

Police believe the hood of that car hit a third vehicle.
