City Council candidate reports stolen, defaced campaign signs

Elizabeth Zeitlin has lost some of her political signs in her race against Nancy Coplen for the City Council Place 5 seat in the May elections.

Zeitlin filed a report with police on March 9 regarding 20 stolen political signs that she had placed along Glade Road.

“It’s upsetting to see and in some ways it makes me want to work harder because it makes me feel like I must be doing something right if people are coming after me,” she said.

Zeitlin said she was able to find a few of the missing signs in nearby bushes, trees or thrown further into empty lots. She added some of them were defaced.

She said she has more signs and will begin to roll them throughout the city shortly.
