A second suspect has been arrested in thefts related to a fire last week that heavily damaged a facility owned by the nonprofit organization Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE).

Jose Giovanni Orozco, 27, faces charges of trespassing and theft of property, police reported. He was arrested Wednesday, and bail was set at a total of $1,000. He remained in the Grapevine jail Friday afternoon.

Orozco is accused of stealing a blood pressure monitor, wireless cable, Blackberry cables, two DVDs and three video games, said police Sgt. Robert Eberling, a Grapevine police spokesman.

The fire on Feb. 12 damaged portable buildings, a shipping storage container and bins at GRACE’s Donation Station, 112 N. Scribner St. That’s where the organization stores many of its donated goods, officials have said. The organization provides food, clothing, medical care, financial assistance, house and more to families in need.

The day after the fire, Zacharia Benali, 21, was arrested and confessed to setting the fire, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Benali’s bail was set at $10,000. He posted a bond and was released from jail on Tuesday.

GRACE staff said the Donation Station is open but cannot handle the regular flow of donations.

“Now, in the midst of our own crisis, our resolve to support families facing emergency is stronger than ever,” the organization’s Facebook page reads. “We are confident that the unwavering generosity of our community will swiftly restore our operations to full capacity, ensuring all families in our area receive emergency aid.”
