Take a look inside the relisted $19.9M Bosque Mountain Ranch property
Bosque Mountain Ranch (not to be confused with Taylor Sheridan’s 600-acre Bosque Ranch) is back on the market for a $19.9 million price tag.
Bosque Mountain Ranch, also known as Round Mountain Ranch, was originally listed by Dallas-based brokerage firm Icon Global in late 2024. Owner Randy Cooper put the sale on pause for the wedding of his daughter. Jack Cornell, one of the agents working on Bosque Mountain Ranch, told the Star-Telegram that the listing is officially reposted now that the wedding is over.
The ranch is located about an hour and a half from Dallas-Fort Worth in Clifton, Texas. The property has more than 282 acres, a combined 14,650 square feet of livable space and upscale equestrian facilities.
The word bosque (which means woods in Spanish) first originated in Texas when Marqués de San Miguel de Aguayo, a Spanish nobleman and military governor, camped by what he named the Bosque River. The Bosque River runs north to south through Bosque County, which is where the Bosque Mountain Ranch is located.
Here’s a look at the Bosque Mountain Ranch, or what Icon Global calls a “rare hill country sanctuary.”
Nearly 15,000 square feet of living space
The ranch provides the perfect space for a private family retreat, events or multi-family ownership.
“You know it’s a great feeling for me when I look at my guests and family and see how much fun they’re having,” said Cooper. “And they tell us their time at the ranch is some of the best times that they’ve had.”
The main living space at Bosque Mountain Ranch has 6,900 square feet of entertaining, dining and den entertainment areas with a total of four bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms. Two of those rooms are master suites.
The 4,200-square-foot pool house has a game room, dance floor and full bar equipped with 16 bunk beds spread across two bunk rooms. What Cooper calls the “VIP casita” also has a private master suite with a full bathroom and a shower that looks like a grain silo from the outside.
Above the equestrian’s dream horse barn is 3,550 square feet of a living and entertaining area, which has a kitchen, bar, fireplace and three large bedrooms. Some rooms have glass cutouts in the floor to peep down onto the horses.
Bosque Mountain Ranch topography
Cooper talked about how he was initially drawn to the ranch because it was not next to any adjacent highways. He and his family often joke that about four to five cars pass the gate on the county road per day.
The 282-acre ranch, with 80 acres of coastal pasture, has its own private water well and underground electrical lines with generators. The nearly 1,000 feet of elevation provides 360-degree views of the Bosque County hill country.
“This particular ranch you can see for such long views,” said Cooper, “whether you’re in the hay field, looking at the rock bluff or whether you’re on top of the mountain and can see for roughly 20 to 30 miles.”
The land sports white-tailed deer, quail, turkeys, hogs, foxes and bobcats, so tenants to enjoy nature through hunting, fishing or trail hikes and ATV rides. And, of course, the state-of-the-art equestrian barn.
The pool is also fit with a complete outdoor kitchen and pavilion, perfect for a barbecue. There is a pizza oven, griddle, burners, warming drawer, a Big Green Egg, a Trager Pellet Grill and large Blackstone griddle with a Cowboy Cauldron.
“I think at the end of the day, we accomplished what we set out to do,” said Cooper. “Which was to build a very high end, unique and exquisite environment for both our family and our guests.”
