A major crash on Interstate 30 around 10 p.m Sunday injured four people and closed all lanes of the interstate in both directions in Garland for several hours, according to Garland police.

Eastbound I-30 was shut down at Bass Pro Drive, and westbound I-30 was shut down at Dalrock Road, police said. All lanes have since reopened to traffic.

According to police, the crash involved an 18-wheeler, a sedan and an SUV. The collision between the 18-wheeler and sedan caused the westbound 18-wheeler to hit the center concrete barrier and the truck’s cargo then rolled into the eastbound lanes, where the SUV hit it.

The SUV was occupied by a family of four including children. All of them were taken to a local hospital, according to Garland police.

The investigation is ongoing. No citations or charges have been filed at this time, according to Garland police.
