A new 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is coming to Haslet, according to a media release from a Dallas real estate firm.

Encompass Health, which owns over 170 hospitals in 39 states, is expected to open the new location in 2027 on seven acres near Haslet Parkway and Harmon Road, according to its website.

The Alabama-based healthcare provider bills itself as “the nation’s largest provider of inpatient rehabilitation” with “unparalleled clinical expertise for treating” those conditions.

“The new hospital will expand access to specialized rehabilitative care in the rapidly growing Haslet submarket and is expected to serve as a catalyst for continued development in the surrounding area,” officials with Davidson Bogel Real Estate said.

Currently, Encompass Health operates seven locations in the DFW metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Bedford and Plano.

The facility specializes in physical and occupational rehabilitation, as well as rehabilitation from stroke and spinal cord injuries.

Encompass Health is also looking to hire for both clinical and non-clinical roles in the hospital prior to its opening, according to its website.
