Hazmat incident at Everman home injures four, including firefighter and baby
Crews with the Tarrant County and Everman emergency services departments were responding to a hazardous materials incident Thursday night, officials said on Facebook.
Everman fire crews responded about 6 p.m. to a home in the 5100 block of Wilson Road and found two victims outside reporting that another victim was still in the house, according to the post.
Firefighters removed that person from the home and began providing “advanced life support.” The victims were reported to have burns.
The youngest, a one-year-old, was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with major injuries, officials said. Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
An Everman firefighter was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital to be treated for exposure to an unknown chemical and is in stable condition, according to the post.
The scene was still active Thursday night and emergency services asked the public to avoid the area, officials said.
