Motorcyclist killed after hitting large pothole on I-20 near Aledo, DPS says

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash after hitting a large pothole on Interstate 20 in North Texas on Wednesday night, the Department of Public Safety said.

The motorcycle was traveling westbound on I-20 at mile marker 419, near FM 1187 in Aledo, when it hit a pothole in a construction zone, Texas DPS said in a statement.

The rider lost control, and the motorcycle turned over. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident, DPS said.

The person who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office after the next of kin have been notified.
