A Denton man has been arrested after a series of incidents where he allegedly attempted to enter women’s restrooms at various locations, police said.

Jeremiah Devereaux, 27, was arrested Jan. 31 after witnesses at a gym in the 1300 block of South Loop 288 reported that he had entered the women’s locker room, restroom and sauna, according to a statement.

Devereaux ran from the scene, but was arrested on an outstanding theft warrant, police said.

During investigation of the Jan. 31 incident, Denton police learned that campus police at the University of North Texas were investigating a similar incident the day before, according to the statement. In that case, the suspect exposed himself to a woman in a campus restroom.

UNT police identified Devereaux as the suspect in that incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest, officials said.

Devereaux was arrested in January 2025 in connection with a similar incident at Texas Woman’s University, where he allegedly attempted to follow a woman into a bathroom stall, police said.

Based on the investigation’s findings, police think there may have been additional unreported incidents involving Devereaux. Anyone who has had a similar interaction is asked to call detective David Acrey at (940) 349-7993.
