North Texas man accused of threatening to kill President Trump, ICE agents
A North Richland Hills man has been federally indicted after U.S. attorneys say he threatened to assault and kill President Donald Trump and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
Francisco Jesus Mena, 36, is charged with 10 counts of threatening a federal official, according to a new release Friday from the office of U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould.
On several occasions in May 2025, Mena posted threats on a social media platform, including messages that said “KILL TRUMP” and “ICE COMES TO MY HOUSE, I WILL RESPOND WITH A GUNFIGHT,” according to the indictment.
“Any threat against the President, federal officials, and agents will be thoroughly investigated and swiftly prosecuted,” Raybould said in a statement. “Some individuals falsely believe that they are immune from criminal penalties by posting vitriol online and not in person. The diligent work of our law enforcement partners time and again uncovers those attempting to hide behind a computer screen.”
If convicted, Mena could face up to 96 years in federal prison.
The Fort Worth Resident Agency of the FBI’s Dallas Field Office and the U.S. Secret Service investigated the case.
