A woman involved in a wrong-way collision on Interstate 30 on Nov. 2 has died, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

22-year-old Totiana Samuels died Tuesday afternoon at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, according to online records.

Samuels was in the vehicle that police say 45-year-old Gary Morton collided with while intoxicated and traveling the wrong way, the Star-Telegram previously reported.

Morton was arrested and faces charges of two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury and one count of driving while intoxicated.

Family members described Samuels as a “loving mother” of two children, ages 1 and 2, according to a GoFundMe for her funeral costs.

Samuels’ cousin Shaterrka Miller, 25, was also seriously injured in the crash, according to the GoFundMe. She suffered “extreme abdominal injuries” and is still hospitalized.
