A Texas Amber Alert issued Tuesday night for a 13-year-old Grapevine girl has been canceled after the missing teen was found safe in Houston, police said.

“The investigation revealed the missing child was not abducted, but was attempting to return home to Georgia on her own,” Grapevine police said Wednesday on Facebook.

The teen was located at a bus stop in Houston, according to the post. Her family had recently moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The girl had been last seen about 4:25 p.m. Tuesday possibly getting into a white pickup truck outside the Grapevine Public Library, according to police. Authorities believed she’d been abducted, and the Amber Alert was issued.

Police later said the Ford F-150 pickup truck was no longer part of the investigation. Anyone with information about the teen’s disappearance was asked to call 911 or the Grapevine Police Department at 817-410-8127.
