A pedestrian died early Monday when he or she was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 35E near Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas County, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 5 a.m. on the interstate’s southbound side, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

All traffic on that section of I-35E was being diverted to Oak Lawn Avenue.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately release other information about the crash.
