Denton police seek help finding driver in deadly hit-and-run
The Denton Police Department is requesting the public’s help to find the driver and vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run about 12:40 a.m. Monday.
Police were called to the 1900 block of W. University Drive, where they found a man who had been struck by a car.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the victim.
Witnesses told police the driver was male and that he initially stopped but left when he was told he had hit a pedestrian. They said his car appeared to be a gray four-door sedan.
Police said the vehicle will have front-end damage and traffic investigators are trying to identify the exact make and model.
