Three Colleyville firefighters are recovering from injuries sustained while battling a blaze late Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The names of the firefighters haven’t been made public. One of them is home after being released from Parkland Burn Center in Dallas, Colleyville fire officials said Thursday on Facebook.

Another firefighter is still at Parkland Burn Center “receiving specialized care,” according to the post, and the third remains hospitalized at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Grapevine.

“The department’s first priority continues to be the health and well-being of the injured firefighters and their families,” the post states. “Staff are grateful for the excellent medical care being provided and for the outpouring of support from the community.”

Crews were dispatched to a structure fire in the 6100 block of Emerald Drive shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Officials didn’t say how the firefighters were injured, but all three are expected to survive.

Two Fort Worth firefighters were injured while battling a house fire in the city’s Historic Southside neighborhood on Sept. 3. Firefighter Caleb Halvorson was trapped when the garage collapsed, and Lt. Troy Gallagher was injured while helping to rescue him.

In an update on Monday, the Fort Worth Fire Department said that Halvorson has been moved from the ICU to a step-down room in the burn unit at Parkland. “He is facing three back to back surgeries on his knee,” the department said. “Those surgeries must be completed prior to any repairs being made to his shoulders. And no surgery can take place until the third degree burns have healed on his leg.”
