Driver of car dies in crash with semi truck on Southwest Loop 820 in North Texas
One person was killed Monday morning in a crash with a tractor-trailer on westbound Southwest Loop 820.
Benbrook police and firefighters were dispatched to the reported accident involving a semi truck and a car about 2:15 a.m.
The sedan was stopped in a westbound lane of traffic and was hit from behind by the 18-wheeler, according to the preliminary investigation.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 2:30 a.m. according to police. The person who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
