Woman’s body pulled from Trinity River near Westworth Village, police say

A woman’s body was pulled from the Trinity River in Westworth Village on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as 38-year-old Tabatha Lynn Figueroa.

Police received a report of the body face down in the water off White Settlement Road about 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, according to a statement from the Westworth Village Police Department.

When police arrived, citizens were pulling the woman out of the river.

Due to the location, crews with the Fort Worth Police Department, River Oaks Fire Department, EMS, and the Tarrant County Crime Scene Unit also responded, according to the statement.

The medical examiner’s office will determine Figueroa’s cause of death.
