A woman was killed and four people — including three children — were critically injured in a two-car crash in Parker County on Friday, April 4, investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

Geneva Griffith, 70, of Granbury, died at the scene after the Buick Enclave she was driving headed south crossed the center line of the roadway into oncoming traffic, according to the DPS report.

The crash occurred about 6 p.m. on FM 51, half a mile south of Veal Station Road, between Weatherford and Springtown, DPS officials said in a news release.

Griffith’s Buick hit a Chevrolet Traverse, critically injuring all four people in that SUV, who are from the town of Brock, according to the statement.

Passengers in the Chevrolet included a 14-year-old boy and girl, a 13-year-old girl, and an unidentified woman who was driving, officials said. All four were taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth in critical condition.
