Two off-duty Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies were injured while directing traffic on Thursday night, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

The deputies were struck by a car about 6:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Westport Parkway on the far north side of Fort Worth, officials said in the statement.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was not arrested, and both officers were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Traffic investigators are examining evidence, but it is unknown at this time whether any charges will be filed, officials said.
