North Texas motorcyclist dies after being struck by car, police say

A motorcyclist in Azle sustained critical injuries in a crash on Saturday, Nov. 16, and died Sunday morning at a local hospital, according to a news release.

A man driving a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound on Southeast Parkway when the car hit the motorcycle, striking it from behind, Azle police said.

Police responded about 5:20 p.m. to the accident in the 1000 block of Southeast Parkway, where they provided aid to the unconscious motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where he died. He was identified as Wayne Bradford, 49, of Azle, by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu stayed on scene and was cooperative throughout the investigation, police said.

The crash is under investigation by the Azle Police Department with assistance from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team. No arrests have been made.
