2 people swarmed by bees in North Texas hospitalized; 1 in critical condition
Two people were hospitalized, with one in critical condition, after they were swarmed by bees in North Richland Hills on Tuesday, authorities said.
The city’s police and fire departments responded shortly after noon to a neighborhood in the 8000 block of Cross Drive.
With the assistance of local beekeepers, the fire department transported one male patient and one female patient to the hospital, a city spokesperson said. The man was in critical condition.
The beekeepers were “working to contain multiple hives and wasp nests,” in the area, according to a city news release. “To avoid any further residents from being stung, we ask residents to avoid the area.”
