38-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash in Decatur, Texas DPS says
A 38-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in Wise County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS identified the motorcyclist who died as Clinton Josiah Stephens, of Decatur.
The accident took place around 9:30 p.m. on FM 1204 near FM 51, DPS said in a news release.
The crash involved a 2005 American Ironhorse motorcycle that Stephens was driving traveling southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control, causing the motorcycle to leave the roadway, the preliminary investigation found.
Emergency services transported him to Medical City Decatur, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff. No other injuries were reported in the accident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further information was released.
